After almost 30 years dedicated to family law, Carmen Varela has created a new specialised firm, Carmen Varela, Abogados de Familia, to continue her dedication to advising and assisting people in their separation process and in all aspects of family and succession law, offering our clients a highly specialised and experienced service.
Now, together with lawyers Gema Moyano and Pol Martín González Mansilla (who have been part of her team for many years), they have created a boutique law firm to advise individuals and law firms specialising in other areas of law who prefer to offer their clients the advice of a highly specialised firm such as ours.
Our knowledge of commercial law allows us to advise married couples or business partners who have a joint company, enabling us to resolve not only their separation but also the problems arising from the family business. Similarly, our experience in administrative law allows us to deal with cases involving minors, adoption and abandonment.
As a result of the concern and passion that the firm’s partners have for family law, we have long been involved in international law and are one of the few law firms in Barcelona to specialise in child abduction and mixed marriages, relocation (national and international transfers) and surrogacy.
In our commitment to “preventive family law”, we negotiate and prepare prenuptial agreements and in anticipation of separation, coordinating with partners in other countries to assess which legislation is more beneficial to our clients.
In short, we are the same lawyers we have always been and we continue to practice what we are passionate about: family law, with the best interests of the child as our top priority, and with dedication, commitment and responsibility in this demanding profession called law.
